I’ve been slacking; I know. Here’s what happened in my life this past month:
I think North Texas had record cold weather again. We had 4 days of ice and snow, which closed just about everything. We live close to the Fort Worth Stock Show, and had slight cabin fever, so we decided to take a little walk. Have you ever seen a cow shiver? I finally had the courage to get to work (plus I had to use two sick days because I think my school was the only business open), and Matt so kindly scrapped my windows for me, I was able to drive down our street and onto the icy highways.
We celebrated our third wedding anniversary with dinner at Ferre and then went to see Momma Mia at Bass Performance Hall. We also went to Whole Foods for a mini version of their delicious Berry Chantilly Cake we had at our wedding.
North Texas was host to Super Bowl XLV. We drove by the stadium in Arlington to check out the festivities. Saw the workers clearing all the ice/snow off the roof, and even drove by the Wal-mart that closed for Super Bowl Sunday. Sundance Square was headquarters to ESPN’s Super Bowl coverage, so we were tourists is our own town.
I went to Southern California over Presidents’ Day weekend to visit my friend Stephanie. We went to the planetarium at the Griffith Observatory, had lunch at The Getty, went to the Santa Monica Pier, saw the world’s smallest dog on the Third Street Promenade, and I got my tragus pierced.
I had a busy, but fun month. Can’t wait to see what happens in the spring!
